Their house is a royal palace (Raj Bari) built about 300 years ago. Serampore is a town of Hooghly district of West Bengal, India. This town is located near Kolkata. It is a very old town, occupied by Dutch during British raj in India. This royal palace of Goswami family is situated on the bank of river Ganges near ferry ghat. When I entered at the house, seen the big structure at the middle 'chandni' or 'Naat Mandir'. It is made of 24 corinthian columns and occupied 130×30 feet area. >14 September 2023 Koushiki Amavasya Puja will be performed at Tara Ma Temple of Tarapith, Birbhum. This year, Amavas tithi will fall on 14 Sept. at 4:30 am and will stay upto 6:30 am of 15 Sept. Lakhs of pilgrims and devotees are coming at Tarapith to witness the auspicious puja of Ma Tara. It says that Bam Dev - the famous devotee of Ma Tara lived many years ago, was witnessed the presence of Tara Ma on this night of Koushiki Amavasya hundred years ago. Since then, this night use to reckon as most pious and auspicious occasion to witness Ma Tara. And so, the devotees of Tara Ma are eagerly waiting for the Amavas tithi to witness the special puja of Tara Ma at Tarapith temple.

year on 'Shukla Ashtami tithi' (শুক্লা অষ্টমী তিথি) of Bengali month 'Agrahayan' (অগ্রহায়ণ), an ancient fair or 'mela' is organised in the area of Goswami Ghat (গোস্বামীঘাট) of Chandannagar. It is called Khunti Mela. This year, 11th December is the day, when the fair will start. /> On the said day, the annual puja of Radhaballav Jiu (রাধাবল্লভ জিউ) is held there. Jagadish Goswami (জগদীশ গোস্বামী) was the 'Parshod' (পার্শ্বদ) of Shri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu (শ্রীচৈতন্য মহাপ্রভু).  Mahaprabhu Shri Chaitanya Dev had given him a cooking spud (খুন্তি) made of brass and silver as a gift.
