International Anglo-Indian Reunion

After Australia, Kolkata would be the venue of International Anglo-Indian Reunion. Next year, from 6 January to 12 January the reunion will be held at various places of the city, but the inaugural ceremony would be held at St Paul's Cathedral on the presence of about 2000 Anglo-Indians from around the world. The logo with mascot 'Budi girl' of the event was inaugurated yesterday in the city by the convenor of the festival committee. Many Anglo-Indians left the city from Bo Barrack after independence for many reasons. But, Kolkata is their birth place, so, they felt urge to visit again Kolkata. They used to reside at Reapon Street, Eliot Road, Park Street or Taltala area. Some of them became famous as surgeon of Kolkata Police or centre forward of Hockey team.
