Theme Durga Puja 2013 Of Tala Baroyari

'সাম্পানের টানে' is the theme of this year's Durga puja of North
Kolkata's prestigious Tala Baroyari. Amar Sarkar is the Theme-maker.
Relation - one of the sensitive and complicated matter of life. The
sum of relationship is tied within an invisible thread as the boat
floats on the water by the attraction of air. This texture of
relationship is in the theme of Tala Baroyari. "Sampan" means boat -
sailed 'শালতি' of South & Southeast Asia. Sometimes, it means big
boat also. Thousands of these colourful boats will beautify the puja
pandal. The world is moving by the invisible attraction of relations.
The Sampan or boat is only a symbol here. We all worship the goddess
by the attraction of heart. And that invisible attraction would be
depicted here in the puja pandal of Tala Baroyari. The idol is making
artist Sanatan Paul. And they hope, like previous years, they'll bag
various prizes this year also.
