Preparation Of Durga Puja 2013 In Howrah

"সবুজ দ্বীপের জারোয়া" is the theme of Domjur's 'Manasa Mandap. "Opera
House of Rome" is the theme of Byatra Kadamtala's Subal Smriti Sangha.
South India's Raj bari would be in the puja pandal of Shibpur
Bakultala Youth Corner. Another traditional puja of Shibpur is
Majherhat Sarbojanin Durgotsab Committee. It is their 108 year's puja.
"মায়ের আঁচলে বিশ্ব" is the theme of Shibpur Hajarhaat Kalitala
Sarbojanin Durgotsab. It is their 50th year's puja.The world of plants
and animals are being protected here by Mother. The entrance of
Indore's Raj bari would be the pandal of Sakrail's Alampur Shanti
Bahini. The puja pandal of Kadamtala's Chittaranjan Smriti Mandir
would show the various art work made of bamboos. Salkia's Young
Society of Bhairab Ghatak Lane is creating their puja pandal in the
form of ancient Khari pata's aat chala (খড়িপাতার আটচালা) . Salkia's
Lalbehari Bose Lane Sarbojanin Durgotsab Committee has adopted the
theme "অখন্ড বাংলা" (the undivided Bengal). Uttar Khurut Baroyari of
Central Howrah has adopted the theme "রং-এর খেলা" : they're showing
how the seven colours of sun have come. A South Indian temple would be
the puja pandal of Jagadishpur Debir Para Bharat Mata Sechwasebi
Sanstha. Two different colours would enlighten you in day & night, at
the puja pandal of Dumurjola Swamiji Sporting Club. Santhals will
worship Ma Durga at the puja pandal of Ichapur Mitali Sangha.
Ramrajatala Bhai Bhai Sangha will bring you village 'Sonajhuri'. The
theme of Kadamtala's Howrah Bijay Sammilani is "অসহায়ের তরে মা দশকর্মা
করে"। You can see debi Durga is being worshiped at the valley of hills
in the puja pandal of Belgachia Swastika Sangha. Bharat Mata Sangha of
Manasatala is building the puja pandal in the form of India Gate.

It says that Nimai Sri Chaitannya Deb once came to district Hooghly for the pilgrimage of Tarakeswar. So he bathed in river Ganga on the bathing ghat of Baidyabati. Then had started his journey to Tarakeswar on foot. It took about 12 hours to reach Tarakeswar. Later, the bathing ghat was named on him and now known to all as Nimai Tirtha Ghat. Kripamoyee Kali Mandir Of Baranagar

Kripamoyee Kali Mandir of Baranagar, popularly known as Joy Mitra Kali Bari, is situated on the bank of river Hooghly at Baranagar of Kolkata. Baranagar is a very old place, more than 500 years ago this place was existed.  Famous zaminder Joyram Mitra of Sovabazar established this temple in mid-April of the year 1851. He bought about 3 bighas land at Baranagar from some James saheb and established the temple there similar to Brahmamoyee Kali temple of Mulajor of Shyamnagar.The goddess here is Dakshina Kali (দক্ষিণা কালী). If you walk from 'Kuthi ghat' of Baranagar river bank a few steps ahead, you'll reach to the temple - 171 years old this temple is situated by the side of Hara Kumar Thakur Strand.
