Oscar-winning Director Jeffrey D Brown Shoot In Kolkata

The main theme of the film is women trafficking. The first day
shooting was held in a house of Bhim Ghosh Lane of North Kolkata. A
girl from Nepal, Lakhsmi ( Niar Saikia), came to Kolkata and taken by
women trafficking group. Bimala is a key character of the film, being
played by Tilottama Shome, who acted earlier in the films 'Monsoon
Wedding', 'Shadows Of Time' and the recent 'Shanghai'. Moreover, Seema
Biswas and Parambrata Chattopadhyay also being played in this film.
Next shooting of the film would be held at Kumortuli, Kashi Mitra
Ghat, Uma Gallery and Nonapukur Tram Depot.

Kripamoyee Kali Mandir Of Baranagar

Kripamoyee Kali Mandir of Baranagar, popularly known as Joy Mitra Kali Bari, is situated on the bank of river Hooghly at Baranagar of Kolkata. Baranagar is a very old place, more than 500 years ago this place was existed.  Famous zaminder Joyram Mitra of Sovabazar established this temple in mid-April of the year 1851.
