famous place for precious metal kasa. About 100 factories were there
to make various items by metal 'kasa'. It is mainly use to make 'debi
ghot' and small utensils for 'charanamrita'. In fact, kasa is a useful
metal to make utensils for ritual purpose. And it is an art. But, due
to lack of markets, the industry is now being obsolete - only 7
factories are there now at Kasari Para. It needs due care to revive
the industry. Proper marketing and modern machinery may enliven the
artisans.
