Saras Mela 2011-12

For the socio-economic
development and self-
employment of rural
families, the state
government organises
an exhibition cum fair of the products of rural
artisans of across
Bengal alongwith other
states
with the assistance of
central government. The numerous self-help
groups of our country are
participating in the
fair with their products of
handicrafts for marketing.
So it is called Saras Mela.
One can find here hundreds
of type of clothings both
for men and
women, made by the
women of self-help groups across the country.
The fair at Central Park,
Karunamoyee, Salt Lake
will open for all
from today, till 20
February.
