On this 103rd year, Sikdar Bagan Sadharan Durgotsav Committee has adopted the theme - 'প্রণমি তোমারে' (salute to you). An artistic work of cowboys of Anantapura district of Andhra Pradesh is the theme of this year's puja. "Thalu Banmalata" is the name of this art work. 'Atagollalu' is the name of those cowboys who depict this art work on the skin of animals. In fact, it is a form of puppet play. Several mythological episodes are being depicted here by this art form. -- A. B.
