Inauguration Of Dakshineswar Temple

In the year 1855, on this day, Dakshineswar temple of goddess Bhabatarini was inaugurated by Rani Rasmoni and her son-in-law Mathura babu. The temple was established by Rani Rasmoni on a land measuring 16 bigha. -- A. B.

16/16A, Bose Para Lane - House Of Sister Nivedita

The State Government of West Bengal decided to declare the house of Sister Nivedita in Kolkata heritage building where she stayed to work for the needy and women of the city. For this purpose, Kolkata Municipal Corporation will purchase the building from its present owner and make it heritage building with an archive where documents about her work and life will be produced for the visitors. It's a good effort to show honour to the noble lady - Sister Nivedita. -- A. B.

Century-old Ruined Temple Of Bengal

This century-old ruined temple situated at village Bandipur of Hooghly district. The village is near Nalikul railway station. The temple has still now the signs of ancient culture of rural Bengal on its wall. This abandoned temple not yet included in the list of 'Temples of Bengal'. -- A. B.
