-- A. B. In the year 1774 on this day Post Master General first appointed for the established Post Office in Kolkata. In the year 1807 on this day first steam ship 'Janagore' was floated on water from Khidirpur. In the year 1824 on this day first Indian Mint's foundation stone was layed at No. 47 Strand Road. On this day in the year 1882 Kolkata Telephone Exchange was started with only 50 subscribers.

Sunset at Nalikul Station Bazaar

I like the different hues of sunset. I mean at different places. Nalikul, a rural area of Bengal - plenty of trees and fields, cultivated or plain characterisation of this beautiful place. One day, I was passing the Rly station, when the sun was setting behind the grove. The sky was very beautiful at those moments. -- A. B.
