Sandip Roy's New Film Of 4 Stories

After the success of 'Jekhane Bhooter Bhoy', Sandip Roy completed the
shooting of his new Bangla film comprises 4 short stories of renowned
writers like Satyajit Ray, Parashuram and Sharadindu Bandyopadhyay.
The stories are 'Dui Bandhu' (the 1st pic) by Satyajit Ray,
'Bateswarer Abadan' (the 2nd pic) by Parashuram, 'Kagtarua' (the 3rd
pic) by Satyajit Ray and 'Pariksha' by Sharadindu Bandyopadhyay.
In the episode of 'Dui Bandhu', Pijush Gangopadhyay has played the
role of Mahim and Rajatava Dutta has played the role of Pratul.
In the episode of 'Bateswarer Abadan', Paran Bandyopadhyay has
played the role of Bateswar. Srilekha Mitra is in the film with him.
In the episode 'Kagtarua', Paran Bandyopadhyay again has played the
leading role. Shaswata has played the role of writer here.
The fourth story 'Pariksha' is a unique one played by Shaswata
Chatterjee in the leading role.
All the four stories are different, but friendship, relationship,
commitment are the threads united the stories.
It is a presentation of Sandip Roy in the ensuing Christmas.

500 Year's Old Nimai Tirtha Ghat - Reminiscences Of Sri Chaitannya Deb

It says that Nimai Sri Chaitannya Deb once came to district Hooghly for the pilgrimage of Tarakeswar. So he bathed in river Ganga on the bathing ghat of Baidyabati. Then had started his journey to Tarakeswar on foot. It took about 12 hours to reach Tarakeswar. Later, the bathing ghat was named on him and now known to all as Nimai Tirtha Ghat. So, the ghat is about 500 year's old. Kabikankan Mukundaram mentioned this ghat in his mangal kabya, about 400 years ago. Raja Harishchandra of Seoraphuly constructed Nistarini Mandir and Bhadrakali Mandir in the year 1827 beside NimaiTirtha Ghat. then, lakhs of pilgrims take bath on river Ganga from this ghat and take holy water, visit Ma Nistarini and Debi Bhadrakali near, then use to go for Tarakeswar on foot to pour that Gangajal on the shiblinga of Baba Taraknath.
