Theme Durga Puja 2013 Of Dum Dum Park Tarun Dal & Bharat Chakra

'দেবীগর্জন' is the theme of Dum Dum Park Tarun Dal organised Durga
puja. The curse of urbanisation is the construction of multistoried
buildings by covering the pond and pools. Mass protest is the need of
the hour to prevent such malpractices. It is the theme of this year.

Bharat Chakra is near Tarun Dal. They're creating the theme this 13th
year as "কাঠের সাথে কাঠ মিলিয়ে দেব সবার চোখ জুড়িয়ে । টুকরো কাঠের গাঁট
বেধে মায়ের রূপ উঠবে ফুটে।" Wood is the main element of decoration of
pandal here. The 10 Avatars of Lord Vishnu are being depicted by 10-15
mm wood pieces...on coloured canvases of 6*3 sqf, three dimensional
images are being expressed. The main pandal would be in the shape of
imaginary Vishnu temple. The main attraction would be lampshades made
by peel of gourd (লাউ). But the idol of debi Durga would be made of
clay, traditional.
