situated.
It is now heritage temple, older than Victoria Memorial or Indian
Museum or Fort William. Precious Parsian stone adorned the Bhu-Kailash
raj bari The royal family resided at obsolete Garh Gobindapur,
situated where the Fort William is now. But, later built the present
palace at Khiddirpur. It is almost a museum - so many histories of
nabab's regime, British reign are there in the rooms of palace. In
front, beside 'Shib-Ganga' pool, two beautiful temples - the big for
Krishnachandreswar and the small for Raktakamaleswar. Joynarayan
Ghoshal - the founder maharaja of this royal dynasty, had built the
temples in memory of his parents. The family goddess 'Patit pabani's
temple is inside the palace. Sadhak Ramprasad once initiated the
'ashtodhatu' idol's worship.
