12 January Swami Vivekananda's Birthday

To commemorate the 150th birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, 12
January declared as
the 'Yuba Diwas' or
Youth Day. On this day, at 6:31am, with the call of siren, the
auspicious moment of Swamiji's birth will be marked. Later, at 8am,
two rallies will start, one from Goal Park, and another rally from
College Square. And overall programmes of various youth activities,
public services, cultural functions will be organised across Bengal.

Let them do surya namaskar or drink holy cow's urine, who cares. I dont know what is the big issue here. Those who wished did surya namaskar. I dont think anyone was forced to do it.

It says that Nimai Sri Chaitannya Deb once came to district Hooghly for the pilgrimage of Tarakeswar. So he bathed in river Ganga on the bathing ghat of Baidyabati. Then had started his journey to Tarakeswar on foot. It took about 12 hours to reach Tarakeswar. Later, the bathing ghat was named on him and now known to all as Nimai Tirtha Ghat. Raja Harishchandra of Seoraphuly constructed Nistarini Mandir and Bhadrakali Mandir in the year 1827 beside NimaiTirtha Ghat. then, lakhs of pilgrims take bath on river Ganga from this ghat and take holy water, visit Ma Nistarini and Debi Bhadrakali near, then use to go for Tarakeswar on foot to pour that Gangajal on the shiblinga of Baba Taraknath.
