Theme Durga Puja 2013 Of Naktala Udayan Sangha

'Life In Stone' is the theme of this year's Durga Puja Of Naktala
Udayan Sangha. Theme-maker Bhabatosh Sutar is creating the idol of
devi Durga by the stone of 16 tons. But the idol would be of 10 tons
of stone. He is creating the idol by monolithic method. It is very
heavy. So, the idol was transferred from the workshop of Sri Sutar at
Sashthir Mor of Chander Haat in south Kolkata to the puja pandal last
Wednesday. It was transported by the help of a crane. Sri Sutar will
complete the idol by the next 20 days.

Puja said…
This is a great Puja ... Lots of celebs come and show their talents..in fact I feel proud when someone say "Are Naktola Udayan Dekhli ki bapok koreche na" / or some of my office colleagues says "Madam apni Naktola e thaken apni Udayan er pass pan". Culturally it brings loads of revenue and style to Bengal .. I will give it 10+ out of 10 but still I was shocked in case of safety and public security and here I am forced to give -10 as becoz they never think of those people who are their 365 days local residents .. so try to look over these things to make it a complete Puja so that all are happy equally.. we all love to enjoy Puja and I believe you guys will put up this next year .. sooner or later its our responsibility to make us better right!! Best of Luck..
